A Carmi man is behind bars awaiting extradition to Williamson County due to a warrant arrest Sunday afternoon. At about a quarter after 4, 43-year-old Lex Nausley was arrested following a traffic stop initiated by Carmi Police at the corner of Stewart and 6th. The failure to appear warrant is related to a 2023 charge of Driving on a Suspended License charge he pled guilty to and was given supervision, fined, and expected to perform 240 hours of community service. Online court records indicate Nausley was due in Williamson County court back in July of this year for a petition to revoke hearing. In addition to the warrant arrest, he was also cited for Driving with License Expired for more than a year and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.
