Calling all artists! The Carmi League of Arts is looking for submissions for their second Annual Themed Visual Arts Competition. The theme for the judged art show is “A New Beginning.” All artwork will be on display at CWCHS through all three showings of the drama department’s production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” on March 20-22nd. Awards will be presented in 4 student and 5 adult divisions. The student divisions include 2nd-3rd grade, 4th-6th grade, 7th-8th grade, and High School. The adult divisions include Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, Photography/Computer Graphics, and 3D art (textiles, sculpture, ceramics, etc.). An overall Best of Show will also be awarded. Submission of artwork is free, but limited to one piece per artist. Student artwork will be submitted through the school system. Adults must deliver their artwork to Carmi-White County High School on Saturday March 14th from 9am-12pm or during school hours on March 16th or 17th.
