The next two weeks will be a matter of wrapping up 2023 and preparing for the new year.
With that in mind, the Carmi City Council will meet for its last meeting of 2023 Tuesday evening for what appears to be a busy agenda.
A number of resolutions concerning water improvements and Brown and Roberts will be covered along with pay request from the company overseeing the water system improvements.
There is also a resolution on the agenda concerning the Burrells Wood Park extension and existing roadway.
Other matters before council are routine matters such as paying the bills and reports from the standing committees and the mayor.
There is a possible closed session listed on the agenda, but no action is likely to follow.
The Carmi council normally meets on the first and third Tuesday each month at 5:30. The council chambers are located at 225 East Main Street. The meetings are open to the public.
