The Carmi City Council will meet tonight (Tuesday) at 5:30 pm in City Council Chambers. There will be a public hearing regarding the 2020 Budgets and Appropriations just prior to the meeting at 5:15 pm. Items on the agenda include Ordinance 1564 presented by Keith Botsch. The ordinance is for the annual appropriations for the City of Carmi for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2020, Ordinance 1563; an ordinance amending ordinance No. 1529 and specifically Section 3-2-7, Article F (classes of licenses, fees and number). Mayor Pollard will ask the council for authorization to seek sealed bids for a tractor to be used in the Parks Department, and a discussion from Brown and Roberts of potential 8th Street area sanitary sewer project. There will also be reports/updates from Mayor Pollard and Standing Committees, as well as comments from visitors. A closed session will also be held to discuss property and personnel issues with possible action to follow.
