The Carmi City Council will hold the first of their two monthly meetings on July 7th at 5:30 PM in the City Council Chamber at 225 E Main Street. On the agenda is the consideration, discussion and possible approval of to review and or accept a bid for residential trash service in the City of Carmi. Received was a five year bid from Bulldog Acquisitions LLC to provide residential trash service in the City of Carmi beginning August 1st, 2022. Year one-$18.50, year 2- $19.42, year 3-$20.39, year 4-$21.41 and year 5-$22.48. A letter of no bid was received from Republic Services. There will be reports and or update from Mayor Jeff Pollard, reports from standing committees and business or comments from visitors. There will be a closed session to discuss personnel and property issues with no actions to follow.
