The first of two Carmi City Council Meetings in October will be held on Tuesday, October 5th at Council Chambers on 225 East Main Street.
Before the regular meeting at 5:30 PM, there will be a public hearing on a mobile/modular home permit at 5:15.
On the agenda for the regular meeting is possible approval of a mobile/modular home permit for 309 College Blvd., an ordinance establishing minimum and maximum setbacks for the city’s public waste supply wells #5 and #6, a resolution to withdraw the City of Carmi from an agreement with White County in regards to the use, operation and maintenance of the City/County Jail, and a resolution authorizing the purchase of 703 Oak Street in Carmi.
There will be the usual reports and/or updates from Mayor Jeff Pollard, reports from standing committees, and business or comments from visitors.
A closed session will be held to discuss property and personnel issues with no action to follow.
Carmi City Council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 5:30.
