The Carmi-White County boys and girls golf teams hosted Zeigler-Royalton on Monday for Senior Night, and it was a rough round of golf for the Bulldogs.
The boys fell by a score of 177-186. Maxon O’Daniel led the way for CWC with a 44. Gage Atteberry
shot a 45, Zack Roark shot a 48, Connor Newell and Gabe Winkleman both shot 49s, and Travor Mason shot a 52.
The Lady Bulldogs fell 188-216. Courtney Snow shot a team best 52. Ava Sheiver and Sadie Balding both shot 54s. Kinley Carter and Maeve Atteberry both shot 56s, and Saylor Mason shot a 59.
After the match, friends and family celebrated the careers of the three senior golfers for CWC – Zack Roark, Gage Atteberry and Saylor Mason.
“All three seniors have played all four years and showed tremendous dedication to the program,” said CWC head coach Trey Mason. “Kids like these three are hard to replace. They have been fun to watch and I will miss them greatly. “
The boys will return to action onTuesday when they travel to Flora. Both teams will travel to Fairfield on Wednesday.
