A Crossville woman appeared in White County Court this morning after being held over the weekend pending the setting of bond. 40 year Samantha Blake of Rudolph Street was arrested on Friday evening during a traffic stop on Oak Street. An officer with the Carmi Police Department initiated the traffic stop and found Blake to be in possession of cannabis. Blake is being charged with 2 counts Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, No Valid Driver’s License and Unlawful Display of Registration. She was also cited for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Bond was set at $1500. A status hearing has been set for March 1st at 9:30 a.m. and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 20th at 10 a.m.
