Aud Becomes New Associate Judge

Denton W. Aud has been sworn in as the newest Associate Judge in the Second Circuit.

After serving White County as the State’s Attorney for many years, Judge Aud is ready for this new adventure. “I’m extremely humbled and thankful for the confidence that the Judges of the Second Circuit have placed in me by appointing me to this position.”

The courtroom in Carmi was filled with Aud’s family, friends, and colleagues, with Judge T. Scott Webb presiding and administering the Oath of Office with Aud’s wife, Alex, standing by his side.

After the swearing-in, Judge Webb discussed his admiration and excitement, “It has been a privilege having Denton as my State’s Attorney for the past 11 years. He has served the people of White County with kindness, fairness, and integrity. I am confident that exemplary service will continue as he serves the people of the Second Judicial Circuit; he will be an asset to the entire Circuit.”
