MT. VERNON ILL, March 24- The 32nd Annual Run for the Wall has been cancelled. The Run for the Wall Board has made this decision considering the uncertain times in our nation due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The run was scheduled to stop in Mt. Vernon on Tuesday, May 19th for a donated luncheon at the Mt. Vernon Airport. This will no longer take place.
Many businesses and organizations have already donated towards the rider’s cost of fuel and food. The committee is asking those who have donated to consider carrying over those donations for the 2021 Run for the Wall. Those who are not able to do so may call the Mt. Vernon Convention & Visitors Bureau at 618-242-3151 for a refund.
