A new local organization aimed at helping assist survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault has a fundraiser planned for this Sunday. Angel’s Mercy board member Rheanna Pearce says the charity is only about 4 months old but has big plans to help victims in a 7 county region including White, Gallatin, Saline, Hamilton, Wayne, Edwards, and Wabash Counties. Sunday from noon – 5pm, Angel’s Mercy will be hosting a pie fundraiser at the Norris City Lion’s Club building at 100 East Main Street.
Pearce says, “We’re gonna do pies and we’ll have merchandise available from Angel’s Mercy that we’ve had made. We’ll have some Scentsy products available. We’re gonna use those funds to help figure out which plan we’re gonna go with. We’ve had several suggestions. We just need to make sure we’re going the right direction.”
