Exactly 21 ladies left the Edwards County happy Thursday night. There may have been others, but thanks to the Albion Area Chamber of Commerce and Handbag Binga, 21 ladies walked away with a designer handbag all told, valued at more than $7,200. A packed expo hall was at times boisterous, occasionally on pins and needles, and sporadically irritated when a nearby neighbor connected a straight line before them. The organization garnered designer bags from the likes of Bogg, Versa, Michael Kors, Kate Spade and more with values as high as $600 each. While this event was aimed primarily at women, Albion Area Chamber President Jessica Gwaltney says the group is planning a Binga event for men as well she calls Bourbon and Barbecue themed.
