If you haven’t yet paid your property taxes, you’re down to about two weeks to get that wrapped up. White County Treasurer Mike Baxley says nearly ¾ of the money is in. He says his office made the first distribution to taxing bodies on October 26th. At that point, 73% of the total taxes to be collected were in. Baxley says most folks pay both installments on the first date. The last installment is due by November 15th. Taxes can be mailed or dropped off. The White County Treasurer’s Office is now located in the new annex building (the former Carmi Times building) at 323 East Main Street in Carmi. If you plan to mail your tax bill in, send it to White County Collector at PO Box 369 in Carmi, IL 62821.

So I paid my property off in full was taxed for it too! and yet our government will take it away if you don’t pay for the sheriffs new shiny vehicle. Nice! Yea lets have more of that! Build something on your property guess what taxes go up again! This is not freedom! If a foreign country came in here and did this to us we would call it communism…. You wont see this post long though lol
