Each month, Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors an employee who has exemplified outstanding patient care and customer service internally and externally.
In October, Carla Dunahay, PTA, who has been with Fairfield Memorial Hospital for 17 years, was named Employee of the Month. Carla is has been described by her peers as someone is a true joy to work with, because she is funny and witty. These characteristics partner well with her job as a Physical Therapy Assistant, as she has the ability to motivate her patients. Her compassionate, caring heart in turn helps them regain wellness. Carla has an ambition to help everyone in her care feel better. She is extremely dedicated to her job and never hesitates to jump in and help anyone who needs assistance. Carla’s coworkers and patients embrace her kindness and giving spirit that she consistently provides others.
“Carla‘s experience at FMH makes her often a “go-to” person in our department. Carla has recently taken on the treatment of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patients and has done exemplary job of organizing these services within the Therapy Service Department. Carla’s skills are wonderful assets to our department because of her years of wisdom from practicing as a Physical Therapy Assistant, coupled with being an individual who pays meticulous attention to detail,” stated Jennifer Bowers, PTA, FMH Therapy Services Director.
