The Mt. Carmel Police have received a number of complaints reference dogs on the loose. On 11/01/2015, a female walking her dog was bit by another dog in the 200 block of N. Market. On 11/03/2015, police responded to the 300 block of Market Street reference a small dog being attacked by two large German Shepards. Police want to remind individuals to have their dogs on a leash or in a fenced in back yard. Animal control has been notified of the complaints and citation will be issued to the owners of the dog.
On 11/02/2015, 45 year old Patricia L. Perry of Mt. Carmel was arrested for residential burglary and criminal damage to government supported property. Police were called to the 100 block of Cherry Street reference an unknown female being inside of the residence. Upon their arrival the arresting officer located Perry and placed her under arrest. Perry was transported to the Wabash County Jail on the residential burglary charge. While en route to the jail Perry is accused of damaging a door to the squad car that was transporting her. Perry is currently being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
On 11/04/2015, at approximately 0700 hours, police were dispatch to 305 N. Market Street reference a domestic. Upon arrival, MCPD Officer’s were informed that 34 year old Michael S. Keneipp of Mt. Carmel and 24 year old Kendra L. Fuhrman of Princeton (Indiana) had been in a physical altercation. Both parties are accused of striking each other during the altercation. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Keneipp was found to be in the possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected cannabis. Keneipp was charged with domestic batter, possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fuhrman was charged with domestic battery.
