Carmi Police make four arrests Tuesday

The Carmi Police Department arrested 43 year old Clayton Coaliron on a Coles County warrant for failure to appear Tuesday morning. Coaliron was taken into custody at 11:40am at his residence on Perry Street.  He was taken to the White County Jail and released after posting a $250 bond and fees.

Two Carmi residents were taken into custody following a traffic stop on Smith Street.  25 year old Dillon Potts was pulled over on Smith Street just after 3pm and was taken into custody for operating a vehicle with a cancelled registration.  Potts also was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Also arrested was passenger Chante Potts, who was wanted on warrants from both Saline and Johnson counties.  Both were transported to the White County Jail.  Dillon Potts is being held without bail pending a court hearing while Chante Potts is being held in lieu of a combined $1200 bail.

 

Just after 8pm, police arrested 36 year old Eddie Sturm of Crossville following a traffic stop on East Main Street.  Sturm was found to be driving a vehicle with cancelled registration, and was taken into custody.  Sturm was processed at the White County Jail and released after posting a $150 bond.
