Mt. Carmel Police arrested 42 year old Rodney D. Deisher of Mt. Carmel. Police received a 911 call to 1901 N. Cherry Street reference a disturbance. When police arrived on scene they were told that Deisher and his girlfriend had been in an altercation. According to the police report, the victim attempted to call 911 and Deisher broke her cell phone. The victim also stated she attempted to leave the residence but Deisher refused to let her leave the residence. Deisher was placed under arrest and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with domestic battery, unlawful restraint, and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. Deisher is being held in the Wabash County Jail pending a bond hearing.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested Santos P. Delacruz, age 59, of Westwego, Louisiana. Delacruz was stopped for a traffic violation in the 500 block of Chestnut Street in Mt. Carmel. During the traffic stop it was suspected that Delacruz was under the influence of alcohol. Delacruz was placed under arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Delacruz was cited for disobeying a stop sign, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, DUI, and illegal transportation of alcohol. Delacruz was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested Daniel A. Malone, age 26, of Mt. Carmel after police were notified of a disturbance in the 1400 block of W. 3rd Street. When police arrived on scene they were told that Malone grabbed his girlfriend by her face and pulled her inside of the residence when she attempted to leave. The victim was able to leave the residence when a neighbor intervened. Malone was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with Domestic Battery. It was also discovered that Malone was wanted on a failure to appear warrant out of Richland County (Illinois). Malone is being held pending a bond hearing and he is being held on the Richland County warrant.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 32 year old Anthony R. Cox of Madison, Indiana after he was stopped for disobeying a stop sign. During the traffic stop it was discovered Cox was driving on a suspended driver’s license. Cox was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license is suspended and disobeying a stop sign. Cox was held pending the posting of bond.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 25 year old Justin M. Bray of Mt. Carmel. Bray was arrested for possession of ammunition without a firearm owners identification card. Police were called 922.5 W. 5th Street reference a vehicle parked in the alley preventing other vehicles to pass. When police arrived on scene the driver was gone. Police discovered Bray was the driver of the vehicle and when they towed the vehicle they discovered drug paraphernalia and ammunition. Bray was later found and admitted to the ammunition being his. Bray was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for the FOID violation.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 19 year old Brandon K. Trost of Mt. Carmel. Police were notified that Trost was wanted on a Wayne County failure to appear warrant and on an Illinois Department of Correction warrant. Trost was located in the 1100 block of Hillcrest Drive in Mt. Carmel. During the arrest it was discovered that Trost was in possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Trost was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Trost was also held on the warrants. Trost is currently lodged in the Wabash County Jail.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 69 year old Samuel W. Robinson of Winnsboro, Louisiana after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop the arresting officer reported smelling an alcoholic beverage smell coming from his person. It is alleged that Robinson failed field sobriety testing and he was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Robinson was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for DUI and failure to signal. Robinson was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police responded to a report of an underage drinking at 203 N. Cherry Street in Mt. Carmel. When officer’s arrived on scene they located five individuals under the age of 21 under the influence of alcohol. Police arrested Mt. Carmel residents Kyle R. Stewart, Megan D. Hurt, Ashlee M. Hampsten, Kathryn A. Gregg and Rashandra A. Keepes for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. 21 year old Travis K. Bowman was also arrested and charged with sale, gift, delivery of alcohol to a minor. All subjects were transported to the Wabash County Jail where they were later released. Wabash County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the arrests.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 40 year old Ruben L. Harrelson Jr. of Bladenboro, North Carolina. Police were called to Brewesky’s Bar reference a fight. Upon their arrival, MCPD Officer’s were informed that Harrelson struck an employee of Brewesky’s in the face with his fist. Harrelson was located and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with battery. Harrelson was held pending the posting of bond. The employee did not seek medical attention.
