The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that a culvert
replacement project will require a weekend closure in both directions of U.S. 45, 3 miles north of
Norris City in White County, starting, weather permitting, at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13.
A posted detour will be in place to safely guide motorists around the closure, which is expected
to conclude by 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changing conditions and all detour signs prior to the
work zone, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for
workers and equipment.
