The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team will wrap up play in the Harrisburg Preview Tournament tomorrow night when they face Anna-Jonesboro at 6 PM. The Lady Bulldogs are 3-1 on the year and 2-1 in the Harrisburg Preview Tournament, they fell to Harrisburg back on Wednesday, 48-38.
After tomorrow night’s game the Lady Bulldogs will begin conference play next week, they will host Hamilton County on Tuesday and Eldorado on Thursday.
The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will begin play in the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic on Monday as they take on Sparta at 5 PM. They will then face Sesser-Valier on Tuesday, and Herrin on Friday. They will then play for 1st, 3rd, 5th, or 7th Place next Saturday.
The IHSA Football State Finals will take place today and tomorrow at Hancock Stadium on the campus of Illinois State University. Today the 1A-4A State Championship games will be played today, the 5A-8A State Championship games will be played tomorrow.
In 1A, Belleville Althoff takes on Lena-Winslow.
In 2A, Maroa-Forsyth battles Chicago Christian.
In 3A, Montini Catholic takes on Monticello.
In 4A, Mt. Zion battles Chicago-Depaul.
In 5A, Nazareth Academy takes on Jolet Catholic.
In 6A, East St. Louis battles Geneva.
In 7A, Chicago Mt. Carmel takes on Batavia.
In 8A, York battles Loyola Academy.
