The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Volleyball team defeated Edwards County last night in a 3-set thriller, 25-27, 25-15, 25-22.
With the win, the Lady Bulldogs improve to 23-1 on the year and 7-0 in the Black Diamond Conference. They will host Hamilton County tonight at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. Fans who can’t attend the match will be able to watch on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
The Carmi-White County Boys and Girls Golf teams traveled to West Frankfort and Effingham yesterday for the IHSA Sectionals. Unfortunately, neither team was able to advance, but senior Aidan Willis finished 11th overall, qualifying for the IHSA State Finals.
Willis will head to Bloomington next weekend, October 18th.
Congratulations to Willis for qualifying for State, and to the rest of the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs on a great season.
The CWC Girls Tennis team lost to Benton yesterday, 6-3.
Nevaeh Hampton & Olivia Cox and Mylie Cronin & Aly Albright won their doubles and Nevaeh Hampton won her singles match.
The Lady Bulldogs will host Salem tomorrow.
The Carmi-White County Junior Varsity Football team defeated CZR last night, 34-6.
The JV Bulldogs are now 4-1 on the season.
