The Carmi-White County Girls Golf team traveled to Mt. Carmel on Tuesday for the IHSA 1A Regionals.
The top two teams in the regional, Mt. Carmel (defending State Champs) and Massac County were far and away from everyone else in attendance.
The Lady Aces finished with a team score of 293, and the Lady Patriots finished with a team score of 352. However, there was still room for one more team to advance to sectionals.
The Lady Bulldogs of Carmi-White County were able to take that 3rd Place spot, punching their ticket to sectionals with a team score of 402.
Ava Shiever finished 11th overall, shooting a 92.
Maeve Atteberry shot a 97.
Courtney Snow shot a 105.
Sadie Balding shot a 108.
Kinley Carter shot a 111.
Katelyn Davis shot a 122.
It is the first time since 2011 that CWC advances to Sectionals as a team.
The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Effingham next Monday for the IHSA Sectionals.
