The Carmi-White County Football team defeated Fairfield last night by a final score of 36-20.
The Bulldogs were led by a dominant rushing attack featuring Noah Pollard who carried the ball 20 times for 145 yards and a touchdown, and Kade Stockton who carried the ball 8 times for 72 yards and a touchdown.
The Bulldogs also got a 75-yard punt return touchdown from Cade Allen, and quarterback Madden Anderson sneaked in the final touchdown late in the 4th quarter.
The win improves the Bulldogs record to 4-1 on the season, they will host CZR this Friday for the Homecoming Game.
The Carmi-White County Boys and Girls Golf teams traveled to Mt. Carmel yesterday for their final matches of the regular season.
The Bulldogs defeated Mt. Carmel 149-153.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to the defending State Champion Lady Aces, 143-216.
The Lady Bulldogs will head back to Mt. Carmel today for regionals.
Congratulations to head coach Mike Zaranti and the Carmi-White County junior high softball team as they are Regional Champions!
The Lady Bullpups defeated Flora yesterday 14-8 to win the SIJHSAA Regional Championship in Mt. Carmel. Carmi will face Marion this Saturday at 1 PM in the first round of the State Tournament in Centralia.
The CWC Junior High baseball team fell to Flora yesterday 9-6 in the regional championship at Mt. Carmel. Congrats to coach Travis Black and the Bullpups on a great season.
The CWC Girls Tennis team will travel to Herrin today.
Tonight the CWC Lady Bulldog Volleyball team will travel to Fairfield to face the Lady Mules.
The Lady Bulldogs enter tonight’s game with a 20-1 record, and both teams are unbeaten in the Black Diamond Conference. The winner of tonight’s match will be in sole possession of 1st Place in the BDC.
