An Enfield man is out of jail on a notice to appear following his arrest by the White County Sheriff’s Office late Thursday. A deputy pulled over 27-year-old Jacob Rowe of Enfield while he was on his way out of Carmi near the entrance of Burrells Woods on Country Road 1000 East. The stop, at 11:13pm, was prompted due to the vehicle having no rear registration lights according to the report. Rowe was found to be driving on a revoked license and subsequently put into handcuffs. During a search of his person, the deputy says he found a pipe and cannabis. While inventorying the vehicle, law enforcement located a large bag of pot inside the glove compartment as well. Rowe has found himself in trouble multiple times this year. He’s had multiple possession of meth charges dismissed this year, as recently as June 10th when he was given a 6 month stayed jail sentence, fined, placed on probation, and ordered into drug treatment. Online court records don’t yet show when Rowe will be due back before a judge.
