A Carmi man is behind bars Tuesday morning awaiting an appearance before a judge following his arrest by Carmi authorities Monday evening. It was just before 5:30 Monday when Carmi Police took 48-year-old Michael Spoonemore into custody at a home on Fackney. He was arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant related to an Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle charge that dates back to March of 2023.
A 37-year-old Carmi woman is facing charges of Domestic Battery. Krystal Clark of Gilpin Street is due in court after Carmi Police
arrested her just before 7am Monday. The report indicates she struck her husband in the face during a verbal argument. Two teenagers witnessed the event. She’s due before Judge Dinn at 9:15am Tuesday morning.
