A Carmi man who allegedly failed to appear on a Hamilton County warrant is back out on pre-trial release after turning himself into authorities Friday evening. Carmi Police say 18-year-old Talan Weber of Illinois Street turned himself in about 7:45pm. Weber was originally arrested back on March 30th and charged with Battery as well as Resisting a Peace Officer. He was due in court in Hamilton County for a first appearance on April 1st and then scheduled for arraignment on both May 1st and June 20th. Online court records don’t yet indicate when his next court date is set for; he was released on his own recognizance about 30 minutes after turning himself in.
