Carmi Chamber directors and city officials joined to officially welcome a new member with a lot of familiar faces Friday morning. Aegis Therapies, formerly Wabash Christian Therapy, still boasts the same staff and Janelle Waters says they remain committed to it’s patients. At their ribbon cutting ceremony Friday, Waters explained some of the background on the change and the company.
Christian Horizons recently decided to partner with a company called Aegis Therapies. Aegis is out of Texas and they’ve been a provider for 25 years. Aegis does therapy in all types of settings including long term care, hospital, outpatient, supportive living across the nation. It’s a vibrant and growing company so it was chosen by Christian Horizons to start taking over the business here. We still partner with them. Christian Horizons still owns Supportive Living that’s still here in town and we provide the therapy services over at that facility as well.
