(McLeansboro, IL) – Hamilton Memorial Hospital District (HMHD) is pleased to announce Jenee Wilson, Registered Nurse (RN) has accepted the role of Interim Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) effective August 1, 2024.
Wilson joined Hamilton Memorial in 2017 as an RN in the Emergency Department. She was promoted to Nurse Manager in 2020 and was appointed Quality and Risk Management Director in 2021. Prior to working at Hamilton Memorial Hospital District, Wilson spent many years assisting patients in Emergency Departments in both Carbondale, Illinois and Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
“Jenee brings a wealth of experience in nursing leadership and is a passionate advocate for focusing on and improving quality of care and patient safety in her current role at HMHD. I look forward to Jenee’s continued contributions as we seek to fill the permanent CNO position,” shared Victoria Woodrow, Hamilton Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer.
Recruitment efforts are underway way to hire a permanent Chief Nursing Officer, following the retirement announcement of Patty Blazier, RN, CNO. After more than 40 years of service, Blazier’s retirement from Hamilton Memorial will be effective July 31, 2024.
