Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity is formally announcing the awarding of $5 million in grant funding to more than 150 recipients through the Back to Business Local Chambers program. Carmi, Lawrenceville, Saline County, Marion, and Herrin Chambers were among the winners. The governor says Chambers provide important support and experienced negative economic impacts due to the CoViD-19 pandemic.
Carmi received $14,023.75. The Saline County Chamber will get $10,364.17. Lawrenceville, Herrin, and the Greater Marion Area Chamber each are getting $50,000.
