High Speed Chase Ends With Multiple Charges

Deputy Capeheart arrived at a residence in Norris City to serve an active Failure to Appear warrant for Jason Sanders.

Sanders was wanted for the FTA in court for Possession of Meth out of Saline County. With no answer, the Deputy set up surveillance at a distance.

Deputy Capeheart observed a black motorcycle driving out, going 80 mph. The Deputy activated his emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop. The driver looked back as he was slowing down, and Deputy Capeheart identified the driver as Sanders.

Once the motorcycle was pulled over, Deputy Capeheart informed Sanders that he was under arrest. Still, Sanders changed his mind and took off through multiple roads in White County before entering Hamilton County.

Sanders lost control of the motorcycle and fled on foot into a wooded area. Deputy Capeheart, while waiting for assistance from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, observed Sanders exit the woods without a shirt on. Deputy Capeheart and Hamilton County Deputy then took Sanders into custody.

Deputy Capeheart transported Sanders to the White County Jail, where he was charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Driving While License Suspended/Revoked, Resisting a Police Officer, and the Saline County FTA warrant.
