The Carmi-White County Bulldog baseball team defeated Eldorado yesterday afternoon by a final score of 11-0.
The Bulldogs scored 2 in the 1st inning thanks to a 2-run home run by Caleb Seibers, his 3rd homer of the year.
Carmi then scored 5 in the 3rd after Merrick Millhorn crushed a gram slam over the left field wall. Millhorn collected 5 RBI on the day. RBIs by Landon Driscoll and Ty Hollingsworth extended that Bulldogs lead to double digits heading into the 5th, and Carmi secured the win via the 10-run rule.
The Bulldogs improve to 15-4 on the year and 4-2 in the BDC. They will travel to Mt. Carmel today.
The Carmi-White County Girls Track team traveled to DuQuoin yesterday for the Lady Indian Classic, and the Lady Bulldogs placed 7th.
The 4×2 Relay team of Andi Garner, Alyson Lamont, Ellie King, and Riley Roark finished in 5th Place.
The 4×8 Relay team of Callie Accord, Makyla Seibers, Ally Pollard, and Gabbie Conover finished in 3rd Place.
Torrie Rider placed 2nd in Shot Put.
Ashlyn Rager placed 1st in Discus.
Addi Elliott placed 5th and Caroline Simmons placed 6th in Triple Jump.
The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Fairfield on Thursday.
The Carmi-White County Boys Track team will host the CWC Invite today at Harrington-Jeffires Sports Complex.
The CWC Lady Bulldog softball team will host West Frankfort today at Archie Brown Field. That game can be heard on 97.3 FM WRUL.
