CWC School Board Closed Session

In the Closed Session of the Carmi-White County School Board, the board approved the retirements, resignations, reassignments, new hires, and one volunteer.

The retirements that were approved were: Cindy Colman as the Elementary Physical Education Teacher effective at the end of the 2027-2028 school year, and Cherie Barbre as a High School Science Teacher effective at the end of the 2023-2024 school year.

Resignations for Rebecca Conner as a Special Education Classroom Aide at Jefferson effective at the end of the 2023-2024 school year, Kimberly Harris as the Head Cook at Jefferson, and Miranda Stimson as a Special Education Classroom Aide at Brownsville all effective 2024.

A reassignment was approved for Michelle Niehaus from a Special Education Classroom Aide at Washington to the Building Secretary at Washington for the remained of the 2023-2024 school year to fill the vacancy of Christy Cribbs.

Olivia Gwaltney was approved by the board pending certification and background check for an Elementary Teacher at Lincoln for the 2024-2025 school year to fill the vacancy by the retirement of Trena Black. Tyler Hoskins was approved as the Junior High School Social Studies Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

Lastly, Craig Winter was recommended as the High School Volunteer Assistant Baseball Coach, just awaiting possible approval.
