Carmi Man Arrested on Warrants

A 35 year old Carmi man is preparing for a first appearance before Judge T Scott Webb following his arrest just before 10pm Wednesday.  According to White County Sheriff’s Deputies, authorities observed Zachary James getting out of a truck and heading toward a residence on Shipley Street in Carmi.  At that point, the officer introduced himself and notified James of warrants for his arrest.  The reports indicate James was wanted on a Criminal Damage to Property warrant for allegedly shooting through the window of a residence with a BB gun and an Assault/Disorderly Conduct warrant for allegedly threatening to kill Rick and Brenda Robinson.  James was subsequently arrested, processed and booked before being released with copies of his warrants.  James is due for a first appearance in the morning on January 30th.
