Tonight’s meeting of the McLeansboro City Council, the last one of 2023, will be a busy one by the looks of the released agenda.
Financial reports, zoning reports and department reports will be covered under the consent agenda portion of the meeting. That part of the meeting will also include approval of the FY 2024 appropriation amendment and the FY 2024 budget amendment. The council is also expected to accept the resignation of Police Officer Corey Waide as well.
Other business includes the second reading of the annual tax levy for the city.
Properties at 604 West more Place and 106 North Walnut streets will be covered, along with a liquor license modification.
The city code for utility processes and procedures will be looked at with action likely to follow.
The council will also discuss and possibly take action on implementing the policy for paid leave for all workers including full time non bargaining employees and part time seasonal employees.
A police officer and an SRO officer are expected to be hired at the meeting which will be covered by WROY/WRUL News with a full report expected Wednesday morning.
