The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Volleyball team fell to Fairfield last night on the road in 2 sets, 25-13 and 25-18. The win improves Fairfield to 27-2 on the year and clinches the Black Diamond Conference Championship for the Lady Mules. Carmi finished the conference slate with an 8-2, their only losses coming to Fairfield. The Lady Bulldogs are now 20-3 on the year, they will take part in the Edwards County tournament tomorrow before traveling to Harrisburg on Monday and then wrapping up the regular season on Tuesday against Grayville.
The Lady Bulldogs will begin regionals on October 24th, they are the top seed in the Lawrenceville regional, and the #2 seed in the Pinckneyville sectional. Carmi will have a first round bye and then play the winner of Toledo and Lawrenceville on the 24th.
Tonight the Carmi-White County Bulldog football team will travel to Eldorado to face the Eagles. Carmi is 6-1 on the year while Eldorado is 1-6. Fans who can’t attend the game can watch and listen on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. The Taylor Eye Care Pregame show will begin at 6:45.
