After a $22,000+ inaugural event in 2022, Gallatin County doubled down betting it could get even better. Officials were rewarded Friday evening with great weather and an even bigger turnout. Patrick Scates says before paying bills, the 2023 event takes in nearly $40,000 in sponsorships and ticket sales. There were a hundred more tickets sold this year and Scates says people were still asking to buy tickets despite the event selling out at 300. All the profits from the Farm to Table go back into the community and specifically to benefit ag and kids. Last year, more than 25 scholarships were awarded to FCCLA, FFA, and 4Hers. White County will hold its 5th annual Farm to Table event as an unofficial kick off to Corn Day in Carmi on Thursday, October 12th.
