Carmi PD Make Arrests Wednesday and Thursday

51 year old Merle Andrew Bartley of Burrell Street is behind bars following his arrest Thursday night in Carmi.  Police say they arrested Bartley near his home at about a quarter after 7pm on a warrant for Felony Theft with a Prior Conviction.  Bartley is behind bars without bond.

A Hamilton County man is out on Pre-Trial release following detainment on a traffic stop late Wednesday night.  46 year old Bobbijo Butler of Broughton was picked up just before 11:30pm on Main near Subway and detained on a traffic stop for Driving while License Revoked.  In addition, Butler was cited for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance.  He was in court Thursday morning for a first appearance on the Class 4 felony.  Butler was also arrested back in July and is facing charges of Aggravated DUI among others.  He’s next due in court for formal arraignment and a preliminary hearing next Wednesday (October 4^th) at 10am.
