The Carmi-White County Boys Golf team took part in the Hamilton County Regional yesterday in McLeansboro. The Bulldogs finished in 4th place with a team score of 337, just 7 strokes behind Hamilton County, Teutopolis and Effingham St. Anthony. The top 3 teams move onto the sectional.
Maxon O’Daniel, Aidan Willis and Cayden Holloman however finished well enough to advance to sectionals.
O’Daniel shot an 80, that tied him for 11th overall.
Willis shot an 83, tying him for 15th overall.
Holloman shot an 84, tying him for 18th place.
Other Bulldog scores included;
Gabe Winkleman shot a 90.
Jax Jordan shot a 91.
Connor Newell shot a 94.
Best of luck to Maxon O’Daniel, Aidan Willis and Cayden Holloman who advance to sectionals in Waterloo.
Best of luck to the CWC Girls Golf team as they will begin regionals today in West Frankfort.
Other CWC teams in action today is the Bulldog Cross-Country team as they will run at the Robinson Invite, and the CWC Lady Bulldog Volleyball team will host Flora tonight. Fans can watch tonight’s match on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
In Monday’s CWCUSD 5 Board Meeting;
Travis Black was hired as seventh grade boys basketball coach.
Mike Zaranti was hired as high school varsity assistant softball coach.
Several volunteers were approved, pending background screening, that included Abbey Johnson as volunteer high school assistant softball coach, Jason Kozikowski as volunteer high school assistant wrestling coach and Clint Rawlinson as volunteer high school boys tennis coach.
