Unit Five School Board New Hires

The Carmi White County Unit Five School Board met in regular session Monday night and following the regular meeting, the board went into executive session.

Following that closed door session a number of resignations were accepted and the board hired several new personnel.

The resignations included Taylor Bishop as morning student supervisor at Lincoln School, effective immediately.

Joshua Girten; seventh grade boys basketball coach and fifth grade girls basketball coach, effective immediately.

Rachel Essary, special education individual aide at Carmi White County High, effective at the end of the school year.

Barbara Ussery-Green, student supervisor at the Carmi White County Junior/Senior High, effective at the beginning of the school year.

The board then hired Tracy Bartley and Ashley Jenkins as special ed individual aides at Brownsville; Madison Gilpin, special ed aide at Lincoln; Hannah Winerberger; cook at Jefferson, effective this week, Travis Black; seventh grade basketball coach for the 2023/24 school year and Mike Zaranti; high school varsity assistant softball coach effective immediately.

Several volunteers were approved, pending background screening, that included Abbey Johnson as volunteer high school assistant softball coach.

Jason Kozikowski; volunteer high school assistant wrestling coach and Clint Rawlinson as volunteer high school boys tennis coach.
