It was a dominant 2-set victory for the Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog Volleyball team last night, defeating Eldorado 25-6, 25-5. The Lady Bulldogs improve to 16-1 on the season and 5-0 in the Black Diamond Conference. They will have the next 6 days off as they prepare to host Fairfield, who are ranked #7 in 2A. Carmi-White County meanwhile is ranked #12. The Lady Bulldogs and Lady Mules will face off on September 26th at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium, mark your calendars.
Speaking of Carmi and Fairfield, this week is football rivalry week in the Black Diamond Conference, and the CWC Bulldog Football team will travel to the Train Yard this Friday Night.
Fairfield is 1-3 on the year after losing to Johnston City on Friday.
Carmi is currently 3-1 after a 32-30 loss to Sesser-Valier last week, but the Bulldogs took an even bigger loss yesterday when it was discovered that senior running back, Caleb Seibers, has broken his ankle, ending his season. Seibers suffered the injury on the final play of the game against Sesser-Valier.
