The Carmi-White County boys and girls golf teams traveled to Fairfield yesterday, and they both picked up wins, boys winning 172-184 and the girls winning 195-212.
For the boys,
Cayden Holloman, Jax Jordan and Connor Newell all shot a 42.
Gabe Winkleman shot a 46.
Abe Girten and Aidan Willis shot a 47.
For the girls,
Ava Shiever was a medalist by shooting a 42.
Courtney Snow shot a 49.
Maeve Atteberry shot a 50.
Kinley Carter and Sadie Balding shot a 54.
Both the boys and the girls will travel to Hamilton County today.
The Jr. High baseball and softball teams hosted Harrisburg yesterday. Baseball lost 10-0 and softball fell 7-0. The Lady Bullpups will wrap up the regular season today at home against Grayville. Both teams will begin regionals next Thursday.
Other teams in action today include the CWC Cross Country team as they will be running at NCOE.
The CWC Girls Tennis team will host Salem.
The CWC Lady Bulldog Volleyball team will host Hamilton County tonight. Fans can watch tonight’s match on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
Coming up this Friday the Carmi-White County football team will host the Sesser-Valier Red Devils for week 4 of the IHSA football season. The Bulldogs had a bye week last week, meanwhile Sesser-Valier defeated Fairfield 22-12. Carmi and Sesser-Valier are currently tied with Johnston City at the top of the BDC with 3-0 records. Fans will be able to watch and listen to Friday’s game on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel and 97.3 FM WRUL.
