A McLeansboro woman is headed to court after authorities there say she stabbed a man. 20-year-old Emma Barker was arrested on August 24th by McLeansboro PD and charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery and Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. Police say the victim allegedly suffered a stab wound to the chest with a knife. He was taken to the hospital and released the same day. Barker waived her preliminary hearing Wednesday and is currently behind bars at the White County Jail. A special prosecutor, Phillip Butler has been brought in to handle the case. Barker’s next date in court is October 4th.
47 year old Rodney Spangler of Harrisburg is preparing for court following his arrest by Hamilton County Sheriff’s personnel September 3rd. Spangler is being charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and Unlawful Use of Property due to having meth in his vehicle at the time of arrest. Spangler was in court for a first appearance Wednesday and he has a preliminary hearing coming up on October 4th.
