A Carmi woman is behind bars on a laundry list of charges after she was pulled over Thursday night. The traffic stop occurred about a quarter after 8pm near the intersection of Fourth and Elm. At that time, officers found 40 year old Amanda Kay Mitchell of Fourth Street Driving on a Suspended License. Additionally, she’s been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Display of Registration. Bond has yet to be set as of Friday morning.
