A Carmi man is behind bars on $500 bail following his arrest by White County Sheriff’s Deputies Sunday evening. It was just after 7pm when law enforcement descended on 708 Burrell Street to serve an Order of Protection against 41 year old Charles Scott. In addition to the OP, the officer says he knew Scott was wanted on a White County Failure to Appear warrant related to a September 2022 arrest for Disorderly Conduct. The officer served the Order of Protection and took Scott into custody without incident. Scott also had a Disorderly Conduct charge according to online court records in April of this year.
