A Carmi woman has been arrested and booked in the White County Jail in after being arrested during Domestic Dispute Thursday. Deputy Matt Wicker was dispatched to Valter Drive and met with 32 year old Brittney Rankin and Melinda Rankin in regards to the call. Melinda told Wicker that Brittney had broken multiple things in residence and she wanted to sign a complaint against her for damage to her property. Melinda stated that Brittney broke multiple glass items in her living room as well the door frame to her front door. When Brittney was asked if she was responsible for the broken items she said yes. Brittney was placed under arrest and transported to the White County Jail. Melinda signed a complaint for Criminal Damage to Property. Brittney is also being charged with Disorderly Conduct.
Also on Thursday, an inmate in the White County Jail was served an additional warrant. A report from the White County Sheriff’s Department states that Deputy Matt Wicker served the arrest warrant on 39 year old Kimberly Clerk of St Louis. Clerk was wanted on a warrant out of Indiana for Armed Robbery.
