Around 6 o’clock Sunday night, Deputy Michael Brown of the White County Sheriff’s Department noticed 35 year old Matthew Gwaltney of Crossville near a vehicle on Main Street in Maunie near the railroad tracks. After Gwaltney left, Brown approached the vehicle and saw that its doors were closed and it was empty. Brown then drove down Main Street and saw Gwaltney talking to a male and female in a garage. The Deputy approached Gwaltney and advised him that he was wanted on a White County warrant for Failure to Appear for Criminal Damage to Property, which was a toolbox on a trailer. Matthew Gwaltney was taken to the White County Jail, where he’s being held on $500 bond plus a $75 Failure to Appear fee.
