With all members present the Carmi City Council met for the first of their two monthly meetings Tuesday. The council held a public hearing at 5:15 p.m. to discuss a permit for a mobile home to be placed at 200 Rice Street.
At 5:30 the council called their regular meeting to order and approved the request of a mobile home to be placed on Rice Street. Also approved was a pay request for Brown and Roberts in the $26.129.11 for the Burrell’s Woods Park Roadway Design Bill and a pay request for $210,021.57 for the 6th Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement.
Mayor Jeff Pollard told the council that the Bucket Brigade for Riley’s Hospital will be held on June 17th at the intersection of Highway 14 and Industrial Drive. The location was changed due to the road work on Main.
There were no reports from the council and no comments or business from visitors. An executive session was held with no action to follow. The Carmi City Council meets again on June 20th at 5:30 PM.
