The combination of excellent weather and community coming together resulted in a stellar weekend for multiple events. The 618 Crew for St. Jude held an ATV/UTV/Jeep Poker run on Saturday that turned out about 7 dozen vehicles according to organizers. The winner of the best poker hand went to Amy and JP Wiggins. Kevin Stucky won the 50/50 and the group says they raised $4,096 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The event was sponsored by State Farm agent James Cook and Wabash Valley Services.
Tractor Supply held a Summer Kick Off event as well Saturday from 10am – 4pm. Representatives from Pets @ Risk were on hand with adoption information and the group hosted a pet food drive as well. Money raised from a car wash was also donated, split between Pets @ Risk and the Kicks for Kids program.
