A Carmi woman is back behind bars on multiple warrants after White County Sheriff’s Deputies placed her under arrest Monday afternoon. Just after 4 o’clock, deputies were sent to 980 County Road 1600 North in reference to a warrant check on 38 year old Amber Walkenbach. Following some difficulty, Walkenbach finally acquiesced and was placed under arrest. She was wanted on two felony warrants. Walkenbach has already been arrested 3 times this year; one resulting in a conviction for a criminal misdemeanor charge of retail theft. She also is facing charges related to methamphetamine possession and more that allegedly occurred in late April. Walkenbach is being held without bond and is next due in court next Wednesday.
