The Carmi-White County Bulldog baseball team defeated Hardin County yesterday afternoon by a final score of 6-2 to improve to 11-14 on the season.
The Bulldogs were led by a great performance on the mound from Travor Mason. The sophomore pitched a complete game, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. The Bulldog defense helped out Mason tremendously, commiting 0 errors in the win.
The Bulldogs will wrap up the regular season this afternoon as they travel to Herrin.
The CWC Lady Bulldog softball team was scheduled to wrap up their regular season yesterday against Johnston City, but that game was canceled due to poor field conditions.
The Lady Bulldogs will begin regional play next Tuesday against either Benton or Eldorado in the Benton regional.
The CWC Boys tennis team defeated Fairfield yesterday by a final score of 9-0. The win improves Carmi’s record to 16-3-1, which ties them for the 2nd most wins in school history.
The boys tennis team will host Mt. Vernon this afternoon at Bradshaw Park.
The CWC Girls Track team is also in action today, they will be running at the DuQuoin sectional.
