May 1 & 2 – 4-7 p.m. – Auditions for Junior Falcon Productions’ performance of “The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition” will be held at Harrisburg High School in the band room – please use door 21. This show is open to any student in Southern Illinois who are currently in kindergarten through eighth grade. The show will take place July 7-9. May 7 – 2-3 p.m. – Ella Elizabeth Hise Museum of Regional Art will host a reception for the Rebecca Mueller Williams Exhibit: We are Fearless, Independent, and Original. The museum will be open from 1-4 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
May 9 – 3 p.m. – Illinois SBDC at SIC host “Turning Your Hobby Into a Business” at SIC Building G, Room 120. Topics include turning your hobby into a profitable business, methods for determining if your business will be profitable, how to price your items, understanding tax implications, and how to advertise your product/service. May 12 – 7-8:30 p.m. – The Commencement for the SIC Class of 2023 will take place in the Joseph C. Deaton Gym. This ceremony is for Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Summer 2023 graduates and is open to the public. We recommend that graduates check in at the A/B lobby around 6 p.m. prior to graduation.
